Injecting Botox for cosmetic reasons is considered medical procedure. Physicians may administer Botox themselves or guide a properly qualified licensed allied health professional—such as a physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed clinical nurse, or accredited nurse practitioner—to do so under the supervision of the physician. Botox cannot be injected by someone who isn't approved. Please note that while RNs and LPNs are permitted to administer Botox injections, they are not permitted to administer dermal filler procedures.
